Maren Pukrop is a Research Associate and PhD Candidate at the Institute of Computer Science, Osnabrück University, Germany, and a member of the Remote Sensing and Digital Image Analysis Group. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science from OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and a Master’s degree in Geoinformatics from Osnabrück University. Her research focuses on using of high-resolution optical remote sensing data for environmental monitoring, with a particular emphasis on biodiversity assessment and vegetation analysis. Over the past five years, she has contributed to interdisciplinary research projects at the intersection of agriculture, ecology and computer science. Mrs. Pukrop has extensive expertise in planning and executing UAV-based data acquisition campaigns across agricultural and natural landscapes, as well as advanced geospatial analysis using AI-driven methods for plant species identification and vegetation composition mapping.
